Nashville Linux Users Group Meeting Information

NLUG now meets in the [WWW]MRB-III Class Room, on the Vanderbilt University Campus (Wireless SSID is "vummiv" and there is no password.). For those that may be using a GPS-enabled phone, the coordinates are lat=36.14421, lon=-86.79914. The meeting is at 6:00 PM on the second Tuesday of each month*. Parking is available along the empty parking lots along Edgehill and some side streets*. Parking is also available (free during evening hours only) in the East Garage, at the corner of 21st Avenue South and Medical Center Drive, one block south of the meeting room. Reference these Directions when planning your first visit. Please refer to the directions listed on the this page [WWW]2 different paths (Do not park in the Nursing lot, however.)

Immediately after the meeting, some members join for the Steering Committee Meeting, at a near-by restaurant. Everyone is invited to attend. Recently we have been going to [WWW]Pizza Perfect in Hillsboro Village. 615-329-2757

Upcoming Meeting Details

Each month, we ask someone to present the ways they use Linux and Free Software in their life, often in particular to their career. We are scheduling upcoming speakers, so contact us if you are interested. On occasions when a presenter is not at hand, we will have a round table discussion. Members are encouraged to Recommend a Future Presenter, which may include yourself if you like, for unscheduled meetings.

NLUG chats in [WWW]IRC.FREENODE.NET channel #nlug. We discuss our ongoing group projects and find support from our fellow members. Connect using [WWW]Xchat, [WWW]Konversation, [WWW]irssi, [WWW]pidgin, or any other IRC client program in Linux or this [WWW]web interface.

'"Wiki Updating"'

Anyone that has an ID and has been put into the appropriate editors user group can update the wiki. The only reason to be this closed is we have had problems with some people not playing nice together. Contact the site admin if you have questions.
