2008-07-06 22:31:03 Kevin Eldridge (NLUG List member) Thank you for the recommendation of a presenter. Unfortunately, I did not see this comment until today, two days before the meeting. I will contact Ed Driscoll tomorrow to discuss Carl Herberger as one of our future presenters. —CRasH180
EDIT #1: I called 856-217-8338, but Ed was not available. Left my telephone number and am awaiting a return telephone call.
EDIT #2: Spoke to Ed Driscoll about having someone present at our Linux meeting either for August or September. He has the following topics already made up:
1. Seven Immutable Law of Information Security
2. Top Ten Do and Don’ts of Social Engineering
3. ISO Security Assessments
He said that he said that
Allied InfoSecurity could make a presentation on any relevant Security topic.
I will add the attachments he sent to me via e-mail to this web site and create links.

2008-09-04 11:45:48 I'd like to see a presentation on git. I see several open source projects using it, and still don't have a good handle it. —stahnma
2008-09-04 11:46:36 Another idea, would be to have a list of good Open Source PodCasts as a hand-out. Maybe the name, URL, and a brief description of each one. It'd be something tangible for each person to take home. —stahnma
2008-10-29 10:18:22 Presentation on LiVES video editor — get "sorteal" who presented at Phreaknic —matthewcraig
2009-03-24 10:43:40 I would like to do a MythtTV presentation after my school semester is over. I have been doing a senior project on it and my semester has not allowed me to attend meetings. After this semester is over in May I can present on how to install set up and create a basic and multiple front end MythTV setup. I am not expert but can definitely help get people started —198.146.87.128
2009-03-24 11:00:32 I posted the MythTV info but forgot to include my information. I am exoasol in the IRC. My name is Aaron —exoasol
2009-05-04 14:55:55 After speaking with several members following the April 14th, 2009 meeting they thought a presentation on Linux as a recording studio might be of interest to the group. I helped a local singer/songwriter produce and track a 5 song EP using Linux Audio applications.
